Learning to Write Fiction

http://www.davefolsom.net/?p=2340 Learning to Write Fiction – I confess to writing my first fiction short story in my teens a good many years ago. That first effort found its way to the trash in fairly short order. After that initial attempt the writing bug laid dormant a number of years filled with marriage and child rearing. That settled, I found time on my hands. After taking a couple creative writing courses, the bug rose to the surface again. Its been with me off and on since. The next few years left me with a box full of short stories and a matching box of rejection letters. My writing instructor suggested I turn one of those short stories into a novel. Continue reading
